I can't like the malls

We used to build civilizations. Now we build shopping malls. ~Bill Bryson

Yesterday we had the day off and went to the Independence Center. We walked both levels. I came out of the building remembering why I go only once a year. Of all the stores we walked into 99% of the employees didn't acknowledge our existence! I'm not about to drop a dime in your store if you cannot say anything to me. And why is it these trendy stores pump out scented air to get you on come into their stores? Tyler and I were chocking at times because it was so THICK. Bottom line...I'm not trendy. I'll stick to Kohl's, Target and other stand alone shops!

However, I received an e-mail today telling about Sears and how they treat their military employees. I might have to add this to my list of places to shop! And we actually made a purchase their yesterday!

The day before we were out at Cabela's, sure I like to look around as the much as the next person. But now I know how a 'man' feels waiting on his 'woman' to finish her shopping. We toured the entire place and by the time we were done - mom and I were DONE. I was trying to find a bench to sit on while Ty and Brian finished looking at the guns. They had a lot of pretty ones! But it was so congested back there at the gun counter I had to get out. Now in the gun library they had a couple of plush leather seats but those were occupied. One, I wished I could of got a picture, was of a lady ALL SPRAWLED out! It was too funny - gave mom and I a good laugh. She was sleeping cockeyed with one arm behind her, her mouth gaped opened and one leg bent up slightly on the arm of the chair! Her man must of been serious about buying a gun for her to fall asleep like that! Later after we approached the front of the store after making our round mom said to me, "Oh, look who decided to wake up!?" LOL!

Tyler didn't have school yesterday and I told you already we took the day off. Well, Tyler also had his braces put on yesterday and does he look handsome!!! He also decided to have blue and white bands put on to match his football teams colors. Well, it also matches his basketball and baseball teams colors as well. He looks so grown up with them. After getting those put on we went and saw Madagascar 2. We were all over joyed with the choice. not. But it was the only thing out that didn't have an R rating that he was interested in seeing. Brian and I really wanted to see Role Models, but I was told it was strictly not a kids movie. We're lenient but not that lenient! What we really wanted to see, Appaloosa, was only playing at theatres at least 45 mins away - we can wait for DVD.

According to John Rivers of K-Loves morning show - only 44 more days till Christmas!

Peace

I always tell Sean that they need to put Clinique counters in men stores. They would make a killing!

Awwww! Ty got braces! I can't wait to see him. I bet he is handsome. We took Kay year ago and they said she didn't really need them. She only has two teeth that are slightly crooked. The doctor told us hers would be strictly cosmetic if we got them so we let Kay make the call of whether she wanted them or not. She decided she didn't want them. Now a year later and all of her friends are getting them guess what???

I forgot to mention...I know the store you are talking about that their cologne is sooooo strong. I can't remember the name of it but it about kills me when we go by it.
I agree with you that the employees in the stores are completely rude. This world has forgot what customer service is. I am with you and I won't spend money in there if they can't treat me right.
