Scratch a dog and you'll find a permanent job. ~Franklin P. Jones
Anybody that has loved on dOg certainly knows the above quote is true. Thank you to all regarding your concern for dOg. Last night I heard him upstairs; I smiled in my sleep. This morning when I got up I noticed someone had put a water bowl down for him on the kitchen rug. My bubble was busted when I found out Brian carried him up the stairs so that he could sleep with us.
I have been giving him Sergeant’s Joint-eez, in which I thought it was glucosamine but its bovine cartilage. So I picked some Hartz ADVANCED CARE Joint Care. And I have upped the doses. I did check with the vet and its ok. So I give him 2 pills of each in the morning and then 1 of each in the evening. But I know not to look for immediate results. It takes a couple of weeks or so, although he has been on the Joint-eez for a while.
Tomorrow he has another appointment to start his series of Adequan injections. We’ll start them at the vet’s office, but we ordered the prescription through 1800petmeds.com (in which I’ll say I was impressed thus far!) So I am left with no choice but to learn how to give him shots – not looking forward to this. The vet also recommended exercise and since we don’t own a treadmill I could hook him up on (I’M KIDDING) – I’m going to start walking him in the evening. I think I’ll start with a walk around the block which is .5 mile. Hopefully that isn’t too much for him. Leave your opinion if you think that’s too much or not enough, etc.
Remember me writing about “me time” and all what I wanted to do. Well, I’m getting my movies watched!!! I know this was something not on my list of to dos BUT I have been extremely snippy-cranky-crabby and I think it has to do with me being tired. Last night I laid low. Made meatloaf and watched Fool’s Gold while beading. Kind of a silly story line but I really like Matthew & Kate’s on screen chemistry. They’re fun couple to watch. The treasure hunt story line was neat – but the rapper owned island?? That was a little far fetched. Also to watch is The Bank Job, The Bucket List, Over Her Dead Body, and a few others Wayne let us borrow. I’m taking on Stacy’s time line with a Monday the 11th start date or maybe sooner. I just needed rest. I also made myself go to bed early last night. I woke up refreshed! With the exception of getting hit in the face last night that woke we right up. – Thanks Bri!
Books – My goal is to finish “Are You There Vodka, Its Me Chelsea” this week. I would probably appreciate it more if I knew of her better. As I read, I take that’s she’s got a very dry sense of humor. “Racing In the Rain” came in the mail last night, looking forward to that too.
Looking forward to lunch today – my favorite place - La Fuentes! With my favorite boys – Brian, Dom, Jerry & Rich!
OK, I think Sprint is expecting work out of me. Peace!
