Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!!!

I made meatloaf late last week. Normally I’d make a 2lb loaf, because I mixed pork and beef this time it was closer to 3 lbs. I’m sick of meatloaf – this thing will not die. No matter how much I serve is seems to be the same size! Yesterday I made Brian’s lunch – 2 HUGE pieces of meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy. He whimpered to me why he had to have that when I packed myself a chicken wrap. I told him because Ty & I were 1 up on him for a meal of meatloaf. With last night being Bunko, we take an appetizer to share. So I cut this mother up, feeding some to dOg in the process (who is flying back up and down the steps again!). I’m making my own version of BBQ meatballs – but meat cubes! I doused those suckers with Brian’s dad’s BBQ sauce and some strawberry jam. (Cleaning out the fridge in the mean time as the jars were near empty.) I baked them at 350 for 15-20 mins, took them to Bunko and wouldn’t you know – I came home with the majority of them! @!#$%&* People inquired why they were cubed and not balled. I did get compliments on them, but the majority of players are on Weight Watchers right now and not a lot was eaten last night.

I won Bunko last night with the most wins – $22.50! We tease each other about winning. Last night a friend told me that at dinner she prayed that her mom would win bunko. So I had to pray for God to ignore that prayer and hear mine that I would be the winner. And so another gal prayed that both those prayers would be ignored and let her win so that she could buy her dream sofa, chair and pillows!!! Oh we had great laughs! The younger bunch of us get so loud that it irritates the older bunch. Speaking of younger bunch; Stacey made a comment about Sea Wee dolls – WOW, what a memory!
I piped up saying I used to have those! We reminisced for a moment until an older player talked about her Ms Beasley doll. I said, “Oh, my mom used to have one too!” She let out a most horrible cry until I told her I was only kidding!

I went to Hardees this morning for breakfast, waited in the drive thru lane for about two minutes before I went inside as the line was wrapped half way around the building and had not budged. This Hardees is notorious for long waits. I get inside and it’s not any better. We have twiddle dee and twiddle dumb working the front line and a black chick with the stark white fashion sunglasses working drive thru and 3 people in front of me either waiting on there order or waiting for their order to be taken. I don’t think I want to go into too much detail – but lets just say – I didn’t know they let ALL the slow kids work together on the same day, including the manager. As slow as it was, it was almost entertaining at the same time. God love them!!!

I found it funny that Brian asked me last night on the way home what I wrote on my blog today! I mentioned bits and pieces carefully stepping around “other parts” of it! ; ) Is there a leak?! Lol!
