Where to go, where to go?

The alternative to a vacation is to stay home and tip every third person you see. ~Author Unknown

With the new year comes a whole set of vacation days...

Bri and I have talked about going to D.C. - Holy Cow, have you seen the prices for airline tickets just to get our there? We might as well just continue to look at the picture books I bring back from my business trips. (Which has been nix to budget cuts this year.) We also talked about going back to Orlando to do the Universal Studios thing sometime. There is no way we are going to jump on a plane this year! And I don't think I am ready to spend four days in a car just to get down there and back. As I told mom I have an interest in going back to Lansing, MI to see the family. But if I do, I will be driving - even if it does take all day to get there.

I took a break yesterday to look on line for flying out to D.C. over Ty's Spring break but quickly remembered Bri has his annual fishing trip planned for that weekend.

Maybe this year we can look to the West and go somewhere that way. I haven't been to too many places out there. I would like to see Mt. Rushmore or maybe the Black Hills... Yellowstone - only that seems like a LONG drive. I miss not having out camper anymore, it would be great to take that along for those ideas. I should probably do some research soon so that we can find something to explore this year.

Have any ideas? Please share!

Peace

I am not much a traveler so I may not be much help. I think Yellowstone would be awesome! I think you have already been there but Kentucky and Tennessee are beeeautiful! Have you been to the Mall of America? That may be fun. I am not sure if Brian and Ty would like it though.
