Weekends don't pay as well as weekdays but at least there's football. ~S.A. Sachs
This weekend doesn't feel like a whole lot is going on. A football game Saturday afternoon, Royals game Saturday evening and team pictures Sunday afternoon. HOWEVER, it never ends up as simple as that.
My "never can sit still" husband will find some project to do. A project for the both of us nonetheless. I can see it now, he'll want to sand down the front railing and stain it. Bet. I would also like to paint the trim around the front door our trim color, add a storm door and re-paint the front door (just to give it a fresh coat) I have an Upper Case Living sticker I also want to apply to the front door. It says "Welcome to our home". I'm sure he'll say my project can wait since it will require spending dollars. No need explaining that any further, as we all know! :) I have plenty of projects to do around the house instead of Bri finding something else for me to do.
Tyler's team football came is going to be an exciting one, they are playing against their toughest rivals. The Liberty Blue Jays and they are out for blood. They have tried to defeat our team for the last couple of years and just cannot make it happen. We tied 6-6 last year and put a hurting on them at the Truman bowl with a 30-0 score. We are the team everyone wants to beat. Just to give you an idea, Kearney tied with us 0-0 and they were celebrating that! The week before Liberty played Kearney and won 34-6. I think Kearney stepped it up last week against us. Kearney couldn't move the ball, they just blocked well. So tomorrow is going to be an exciting game. Come out an watch if you want, we can use all the support!
Went to visit my gpa and uncle last night with Lins. Gpa seems to be doing OK, looks good. Not only did we surprise them with our visit but I brought them both a shake. Strawberry for my gpa and Vanilla for my Uncle. When my gpa was in extended care out by my house I would bring him Strawberry shakes, "they were the best". Wouldn't you know, gpa traded out his Strawberry for the Vanilla! Linds and I were told that both houses on either side of them were for sale. I asked Linds which one she wanted and I'd take the other! :) I think we'd drive my uncle insane if we actually did that! One has foundation problems and the other has asbestos! As we were leaving gpa made the comment if feels like we had just gotten there, I wouldn't mind at all living so close to them. Gpa also made the comment that in one of the pictures on his wall of Linny - she resembles Chelsea Clinton. My uncle and I whole heartily disagreed and told gpa I was leaving so I wouldn't be a witness to what comes next! We all laughed.
With that, I'm out - have a great weekend. Peace.

We need Brian and Sean to hang out together more because it takes me for ever to get Sean to do his honey do's. I know what you mean though how they think their projects are more important that ours.
Thank you for the invite to Ty's game but Sean is out of town this weekend and Kay and I have the weekend planned already. I would love to a game sometime though - just dread that parking lot!
Your grandpa is so sweet! I think about him alot. That is so neat you all went to visit him. I wish I still had my grandparents around. =(.
