Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter. ~Mark Twain
I'm looking forward to aging gracefully, I just didn't think it was this soon!
The rain cancelled the game on Saturday so we were out running our errands. At Sam's Club, we were comparing computer chairs. A gentleman approached me asking if I needed any home improvements such as vinyl windows, siding or sun rooms. I politely declined with a smile and went on my business.
Later we were in the food section, I was grabbing the frozen foods we needed while Bri and Ty horded the food samples. Bri called out to Ty, "Son, do you want some yogurt?" The same gentlemen who approached me about home improvements was within ear shot range. He came over and said, "Son?" - "I asked the lady about home improvements because I thought she was your mom. I thought you were about 21."
Brian GLEAMED, I'm sure of it! He found me to ask if I felt old and then went on to tell me the story. I found the guy and wanted to ask him if he really said that, but I decided not to. I didn't want to embarrass him.
We decided to get the computer chair. While Bri was assisting Ty in electronics (writing him Christmas list) I went back to get the chair. I was trying to lift this huge box into the cart that keep moving away inches at a time and wouldn't you know - Home Improvement man came to my rescue and held the cart still. I thanked him for his assistance and he asked me, "Have we spoke about home improvements?" I told him he had yes and he said, "I thought we did." As I was walking away, Bri was coming up behind me and the man laughed and said, "Oh yea, I REMEMBER now!"
So Dom if anything, this post shouldn't make you drive to drink but I'm pouring a stiff one for me! ; )
Peace!
