One good book deserves another...

On Sunday I finally finished The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks, I cannot get enough of his books, they all are such a sweet read. I only used one tissue at the end. I cannot tell you more, you'll just have to read it for yourself. :)

I desperately wanted to pick up another from my Christmas stack but Ty reminded me I needed to finish Marley so that he could return it to the library today at school. I have read Marley and Me once before but Marley is the juvenile version of the story. Tyler didn't know I had read it once before and was overjoyed to bring this book home for me to read. (He loves to bring home books for me to read that make me cry, he's got a knack for it.) I feverishly read through Marley and finished it last night while the boys were playing Call of Duty: World at War on Wii.

Picture it: I in my chair, Ty in the other and Brian on the sofa. Both are intently into this killing game giving each other pointers. I have my nose in this book sobbing quietly until I blow my nose. It takes a couple tissues before anyone notices me and ask, "What's wrong?" They LOVE doing this to me as if their oblivious to the effects of a sappy book or movie. Even though I had read the story once and seen the movie - I knew what happened at the end. I just couldn't help it. I used a total of four tissues! And that is Ty's reasoning for not reading the book - its sad.

After gaining composure, I went up stairs to select my next read. Tyler asked if he could choose it for me. It made it a lot easier as I was like a kid in a candy store - I couldn't choose just one. So he choose for me to read Front of the Class. This is a story of a young man who despite his tourettes syndrome becomes a teacher, a teacher like he never had. It was recently a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie. I think it will be a quick read.

One book down eleven to go! And I keep adding to my list! If I get laid off, I might have to work in a bookstore!

Peace!
